We are situated in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt countryside in Wales and can offer interesting riding for everybody, even at short notice. Whether you are young or old, skilled or out to try horse riding for the first time, we have horses an ponies to suit your needs and strive to make everyone's experience one they will want to repeat!

If you are on holiday in Mid Wales, contact us to arrange pony trekking, half day rides, full day rides and pub rides. For the more ambitious, take a ride for a whole day, stopping at the local inn for lunch; ride home through the beautiful Radnor Forest and watch out for the wildlife!

About Us Underhill Riding Stables has grown from a green field surrounded by 100 acres of grass, woodland and hills into a busy family run riding school.

Introducing our Radnorshire countryside to people of all walks of life is a big part of our lives, as many months of the year are spent guiding our visitors around the hills to appreciate our beautiful surroundings.

As well as looking after our welcome holidaymakers, the yard has grown to accept students young and old in the form of Pony Club members and adults training for NVQ qualifications in horse care, riding and stable management.

Local inhabitants take the opportunity of being able to ride regularly, enhancing their skills and enjoying the thrill of a good gallop on the longer rides designed for the more experienced rider.

Riding Lessons We give riding lessons either individually or in small groups in one of our two outdoor arenas set in wonderful surroundings with the radnorshire hills all around. Breaking & Schooling Starting and schooling young riding horses keeps us busy during the quieter times. Our visitors often like to stay and watch these exercises in equine psychology. There is always something you can learn! Tack Shop We have a selection of new and second hand saddles, bridles, bits etc. as well as riding clothing and equipment. Come and browse in our tack shop or, if you have tack to sell, we can sell it for you or possibly part exchange.
